Hey Alex,
I hope you’ve had a nice week! Mine was pretty stressful; I had to compile a midterm portfolio for my Methods of Secondary Education course and plan a lesson for the first time that I will teach a whole class period at the high school where I do observations. However, it is nice to get back on campus and see all of my friends, and I am really excited to take the next step towards becoming a teacher!
Though this week was busy, I still was able to have a bit of fun. My friends held a fancy dinner where we all dressed up just for the heck of it, which gave me a great opportunity to show off some of the new clothes mom bought me for Christmas, and then played Scattergories and Cards Against Humanity afterwards.
I was able to put aside some time for origami too, and I’m really glad you chose that as our challenge for this week! Manual tasks that require little decision making are very calming form me (for example, I LOVE folding laundry), so following instructions to crease paper helped me relax between all the work I had to do. Jessica also had some schmancy origami paper, so they turned out quite pretty:
These all are pretty abstract, so don’t sweat it if you couldn’t figure them out:
The similar shaped ones on top are owls, while the middle is a fox head, and the bottom ones are BATS!
I’ve also made a few more origami not pictured so you’re in for a surprise! (Though they won’t get picked up by the mail until tomorrow so it’ll be a while). Anyway, I look forward to reading your post and talking with you soon!
Love you,
Chase
